Hi Dom, it’s always a problem with birds with identical plumage. DNA testing definitely helps, hope a hen or two appear on the market soon. Good they are compatible James.

Barbets are doing well, very quiet birds consider what other species are reported to be like, I'm struggling to find a female(s) for them.
Apart from what would seem the obvious risk of them eating eggs and chicks could I keep other softbills with them in a large enough flight? If so any suggestions.
