Hi Florin,
Sorry to read about the Mesia's that's really frustrating. Hope they settle down as they are beautiful birds. Are Pekins and Mesia easy to source in Canada?
regards
Mark.

Hi Mark, as far as i know i am the only one keeping mesias in Canada(i hope i am wrong),as far as pekins there are more around but only a handful of breeders most likely less then 5if that. Since Peter Karsten stopped keeping them there are only available if importers can get them in from Europe. Not a great outlook for them in this country for sure, but bird keeping in general is declining big time since younger generations are not interested in this hobby.

has anyone looked @ the possibility of importing them from Taiwan ? they used to have breeding facilities/exporters & in all probability how indirectly H1N1 Birdflu reaced Quarentine facilities in the UK But that was before it was realised that H1N1 is a disease of Domestic Poultry & not Wildfowl as originally thought , and in all probability the shipment was contaminated in transit

I would love to but its a massive headache getting permits here and importers charge huge money for them as it is a costly and time consuming endeavour.mesias cost about $1600 US in the states and pekins are getting close to that amount.

Excellent Aviary.
Can I ask which pairs are successfully nesting in relation to their position in aviary block?
