when I kept Pekins they would eat some of the comersial softbill mix

Hi Colin,
They also have Uni Patee,Frutti Patee and Insect Patee mixed with diced fruit daily.

that sounds good as it's wise to mix a few brands as if one becomes unavailable it's easier to introduce another

I also feed them an egg cake that is a great source of protein and also a good vehicle to add vitamins to.Recipe for the cake is in Peter Karsten book .

Thank you Florin, I have the book but had not read about the egg cake.
I will make some up with a scaled down approach to begin with as i only have 5 softbills plus however many chicks the Pekins have.
