Oh and they may not be as rare a migrant as some folk think as they are difficult to spot in the wild and can easily be mistaken for other british species if the Observer is not familiar with them . 1st time I saw one in the wild I was fortuneate to have it pointed out to me by somebody familiar with them

thanks Peter I think its at the discretion of the Judge. my white collared Yuhina got best c/y softbill in show. she's from the pair I got from you.

you are quite right in your statement regarding how rare some birds are many claims are from quesswork / fantasy.
As you stated mistaken identity to think that people like this are making rules that could make you guilty in the eyes of the law.

Hello Jerry
now you have said that i can remember a few years back about bluethroats and Siberian rubythroats between the British Bird Council and relevant gov dept and they couldnt come up with a deffinate answer and decided to play safe and supply BBC rings to fit on the chicks to cover just in case.
