Hi,
Can someone remind me how to clean Pinkies if i buy any from the fishing tackle shop as an alternative live food?

I think they need to be put through Maize for a few days until the black dots disappear but haven't done that for many years.

Thanks
Mark

Put threw bran and sand for twenty four hours . These live on fur and feathers so not as bad as true maggot
Frozen pinkie are safer

Hi Gary,
Thanks for the reply, mine won't take the frozen Pinkies and as mini mealworms seem to be in short supply i am looking at other options. I already use mini waxworms and small crickets.
regards
Mark

After having problems with frozen pinkie maggots in some of my breeding this year I decided to stop using them
Since I have the success of some rearing as improved
I will use this product in the winter non breeding time
