Jelly pots for zosterops was created by christopher glanville
In this weeks cage; and; aviary birds there; is an excellent article about equipment/ food designed for reptiles that is of value to softbills. I use a flexible heating wire in my aviary as a low energy way of keeping and area frost free. I have also been using the jelly pots as described as a treat . The pots are marketed as fruit beetle and crested gecko food. They work out at about a pound a time but you can buy Jellypot fruitbuzz gold which is a powder. I add a teaspoon of the powder to a small jelly pot's volume of boiling water stir and then let it set. My white eyes love it and they dont get messy eating it.

It looks pretty nutritious with bee pollen, honey papaya calcium carbonate plus vitamins and minerals

I get fruit jelly pots for my parrot from northern parrots, they are 6 pots for £3.99 and you can get a special jelly pot holder which screws onto the cage which might work for zosterops but unfortunately my parrot just takes the pots out and chucks them about.
