Thanks James, yes you are right regarding obtaining livestock, Stafford was also a much reduced affair this October due to the pandemic unfortunately. Most FB groups drive me mad with so many repeated questions that then get 50 people all replying with the same answer.

Regarding the Barbets, I'm not sure why but I find them totally captivating, maybe it is their rather strange looks, nesting habit and their raven like voice. Hopefully I'll get the chance to keep them in the near future.

One thing that seems to be happening more on Birdtrek is adverts with no prices or asking for offers, I'm not sure if Chris would agree but in my opinion a bird has a price or it doesn't, offers is entering into a bidding war. I'd go to an auction I'd I wanted to start placing bids.

Never had much time for adverts with no prices, if you inquire and there too expensive, they start to say advertised again due to time-wasters ( bonkers ).

Yep I agree, I was trying to but a pair of Spectacled Parrotlets from a chap on Birdtrek, I must have called him 5 times, messaged him and left a message on his phone. Two weeks later he was relisting the advert?!

I've actually tried to join that group but my request has still not been accepted
