Peter Moore has kindly given me a free hand to change and update site as needed.
Good ideas welcome either through this post or email me directly.
It may well be of use to have a steering group.

Welcome Chris ! Rather than the site not being popular there seems to be a reluctance for site users to register &/or start topics that other users can participate in . But hopefully a few might prove me wrong as whenever I check the site which is every couple of hours or so I see people visiting the site

Hi Colin, very true what you have said. It amazes me the amount of experience bird keepers and members on this site who seem to be unwilling to put their knowledge and experiences into topics which I am sure we would all find benifcal to read. Even when topic are put on, although plenty may read them, but again few add replies to keep a topic going.it is not just this site, most are in a similar state, which is a shame. The day of putting a few sentences together seems to be gone, it is now the age of One- liner answers and abbreviation of the English language. When I have something new to add I do, but even I find it difficult especially when nobody or the same few reply to your topic. Still we live in hope. James.

Many thank to Chris for stepping in.
As said by James & Colin people looking but not contributing, As most of you know i was diagnosed with Parkinsons in 2009.
I am limited to what i can do now and rather than letting the site die have handed the site to Chris Isles to see if it can be saved, there are some very good Breeders articules on this site which was what this site was set up for.
Please sup[port Chris & Colin.

Hi All,
I visit the site fairly regularly and am relatively new to keeping Softbills so post queries when i get stuck and cannot find an answer in the topics.
I much prefer websites to FB as there are too many very limited replies which i think is perhaps due to most people accessing the internet using their phones to add short replies rather than laptops or tablets.
How easy is it to add images to FSSUK as so far i have not tried but that seems to be an issue for other sites? Could it also be the lack of silver surfers that keep Softbills in the UK as several of the guys that have called me when i have advertised Bulbuls for sale are are not confident in using the net and rely on C&A for their avian updates.
Could the FSSUK also be off putting for any European contributors to the site?
Regards
Mark
