Blackberry time everyone they are free and they freeze well !
Annoyingly the farmer who's field we collect from has cut the hedge that surrounds it. But I'm sure we can find another. Good for feeding through the winter.

Not just Blackberries, Elderberries and Mountain ash berries all free and natural and freeze well, either cut or snap off the cluster at the stalk. with all these foods there are tiny insects dont worry about them stick them all in the freezer.

A word of caution , elderberry`s and blackberry´s are high in vit C and iron .I would not feed to birds susceptible to Iron storage disease Myna`s ,Toucans ,Tanager`s .
All the thrush family love them as well as most of the song babblers ( pekin robin , mesia`s, laughing thrush`s my zosterops used to take the elderberry.
