First years as bird keeper ..... was created by Colin Gale
I was a lot different as I did not get to keep birds untill I was in my 50's & got my own home so most of my early Avian experience was with wildbirds including a fair bit of Conservation work . But I have always been interested in birds & although my father had been a Budgie man before mother arrived on scene , she would not let me have any , and after leaving home I lived in NHS staff quarters/rented accomadation so keeping birds was not possible until I got my own place.

In my earlier post I'd forgotten that my 1st experience of rearing birds was with Domestic Poultry back in 64 when I spent the summer with an Aunt & Uncle on their farm in the midlands and was given the task of feeding & watering 100 day old chicks
