does anybody use it ?

I`ve just got a copy of Rosemary Hutton`s bok onthe management of Australian Softbills and in the back is a recipe for bird porridge says it suitable for silvereyes & nectar feeders and that it does not sour
it`s a mixture ofequal parts of dripping, honey ,peaflower & instant oats combined over heat but not boiled .

I`m wondering if anybody as used it and for what ?

I got my copy of the book via Amazon in the US , but it is also available via Finches & softbills magazine
